The year was 1967, and Don Soffer sketched what he wanted the City of Aventura to look like on a napkin. He envisioned an upscale neighborhood with thousands of residences, the centerpiece around which would be a country club, hotel, a golf course, and yacht club. But this wasn’t a project Don envisioned within the already booming city of Miami; instead, the entrepreneur zeroed in on 785 acres of undeveloped land between downtown Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Piece by piece, Don plowed forward with his vision, proving all the naysayers wrong, building the city of Aventura.

Located on the site of the original Turnberry Isle Yacht & Racquet Club and right on North Miami’s Intracoastal Waterway, the newly renovated Turnberry Marina features a state-of-the-art aluminum floating dock system featuring Ipe wood decking and 3 phase/480 volt electrical service.
